San Diego Comic-Con would be incomplete without an appearance by Kevin Smith, and this year’s Comic-Con@Home was no exception. The writer/director closed out the final day with a new trailer for his upcoming tongue-in-cheek slasher film, Killroy Was Here.
Featuring Chris Jericho as The Gator Chaser, and Azita Ghanizada (Ballers, Good Trouble) and Ryan O’Nan (Queen of the South, Ray Donovan) in key roles, the trailer tells the origin story of Killroy, a boy that wasn’t quite right who grew into a monster wielding a mask based on the iconic doodle. It wouldn’t be a Kevin Smith movie without some of his regulars to lighten the mood, and the clip shows that Jason Mewes, Ralph Garman, and Harley Quinn Smith are along for the ride this time around.
Killroy Was Here is directed by Kevin Smith, based on a script by Smith and Andy McElfresh. The film is produced by Nick Morgulis, Smodcast Pictures, and Semkor Productions In association with Ringling College of Art & Design.
The release date for Killroy Was Here has not yet been announced, so stay tuned to Conskipper for complete coverage of this exciting new project as soon as it breaks!
