John Byrne’s ‘Wonder Woman’ Run Collected in New Omnibus

John Byrne’s three year run on Princess Diana is featured in the new Wonder Woman by John Byrne Omnibus.

The collection includes Wonder Woman #101-136 (all written and illustrated by Byrne) and Wonder Woman Annual #5-6, Wonder Woman stories from Action Comics #600, Adventure Comics 80-Page Giant #1, The Adventures of Superman #440, Sergio Aragones Destroys DC, and Wonder Woman Secret Files #1 by Byrne, Mark Evanier, Len Wein, Sergio Aragonés, Norm Breyfogle, Dave Cockrum, Scott Hanna, Dennis Janke, Jerry Ordway, Tom Palmer, George Perez, and Bob Smith.

Byrne throws Wonder Woman right into the fires of Apokolips at the start of his run in 1995 with Darkseid, Cheetah, Neron, and a mysterious illness that turns her Amazonian sisters to stone. Diana also takes on new protege, Cassie Sandsmark, who assumes the mantle of Wonder Girl as best she can.

Other highlights include the debut of the mysterious Champion and appearances by Queen Hippolyta, Donna Troy, Artemis, and the other Greek gods and monsters.

The Omnibus consists of 1,016 pages for a suggested retail price of $100.00.
