When it comes to original comic sketches, no artist is more desirable than Jim Lee and no certification is more elusive than the CGC Signature Series label. CGC is going to make both of those things happen with an exclusive private autograph signing with Jim Lee!
Fans can submit their books to CGC to be signed and encapsulated with their iconic yellow label for $110. After that is where things get interesting!
The first 100 submitters who shell out $460 per item will receive a Jim Lee remarque on their printed comic book cover. Lee will also offer illustrated sketches on blank comic covers to the first 50 submitters for $875. Fans can request a character, but CGC notes, “The final design and subject matter of the Remarque is at the artist’s discretion. CGC cannot guarantee Remarque requests.”
Both options are far bellow aftermarket prices and what Lee usually charges for small head sketches on limited commissions. One thing’s for sure: 150 fans will be walking away with truly rare and desirable pieces.
