The first trailer for the highly anticipated Jaws documentary, Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story, is now available to view for all fans of Chief Brody, Captain Quint, Mr. Hooper, and Bruce the Shark.
Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story will debut on July 10 at 9:00 pm ET on the National Geographic channel, followed by the film’s premiere on Disney+ and Hulu on July 11.
The documentary is directed by Steven Spielberg biographer Laurent Bouzereau and produced by Spielberg’s Amblin Documentaries and National Geographic.
The film includes camera footage and photographs from the Benchley and Spielberg archives, and will also look at how Jaws initially incited a great fear of sharks and how that fear has now turned to a great conservation effort.
Bouzereau’s recently released decade-long retrospective on the famed director, Spielberg: The First Ten Years, also has a large section on Jaws and Bouzereau’s documentary about composer John Williams titled Music by John Williams was released in 2024 (and is currently available on Disney+).
