After nearly fourteen years, the original Incredible Hulk Omnibus Volume 1 returns to the presses in March 2022, packed to the gills with the Jade Giant’s original Marvel stories from his surprisingly short-lived solo series (only six issues) and his second life in Tales to Astonish.
The 750 page collection includes work by the original architects of the Marvel Universe including Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Marie Severin, Gil Kane, Bill Everett, John Buscema, John Romita, Dick Ayers, Mike Esposito, Gary Friedrich, and Bob Powell.
Like the original edition, the Omnibus contains: The Incredible Hulk #1-6, Tales to Astonish #59-101, and the relaunch of his solo series (borrowing the numbering from the cancelled Tales to Astonish) in The Incredible Hulk #102.
The purple-pants wearing behemoth tangles with familiar foes such as General Thunderbolt Ross and the Unites States Armed Forces, the Leader, the Abomination, Tyrannus, the Stranger, the High Evolutionary, and “frenemies” like the Silver Surfer, Thor, Giant-Man, Namor, and Hercules.
The covers also remain the same as the first prints, with a classic Kirby Incredible Hulk #1 and a homage of the very same cover by Alex Ross. Surprisingly, the price also remains the same as it did back in 2008 at $100.
Check out both covers below and be sure to keep checking with Conskipper for all of your classic comic news.
