If you grew up in the 1970s and read The Incredible Hulk comics on a regular basis, you could always count on two things: a slugfest with a muscle-bound villain and the gamma-irradiated art stylings of Herb Trimpe.
The latest Incredible Hulk Epic Collection, Crisis on Counter Earth, features 21 issues from 1972 to 1974 by Trimpe and writers Roy Thomas, Steve Englehart, and Gerry Conway which deliver battles with all of the Green Goliath’s top adversaries such as: The Rhino, The Abomination, The Juggernaut, Wendigo, M.O.D.O.K., ZZZax, The Bi-Beast, Tiger Shark, The Harpy, and more.
As usual, the Hulk also has some disagreements with some heroes of the Marvel Universe as well, ruining the days of The Beast, The Inhumans, and even Adam Warlock (in the infamous “Warlock as Jesus” storyline which gives this collection its title).
