Hasbro’s Crowdfunding Campaign Paves Way for Enormous Sentinel Figure

If you are an X-Men fan, besides Magneto and Sabertooth, you know that their most recognizable (and frequent) adversaries have always been The Sentinels, the gigantic, mechanized scourge of mutantkind.

The X-Men have a long history not only in comics and films, but also on toy shelves. And while Sentinel action figures have been created in the past, they have never looked quiet like the ones currently being offered by Hasbro (courtesy of Haslab, the crowdfunding arm of the famous toy makers).

The hateful robots are the first-ever Marvel Legends HasLab project and based on the description from Hasbro, the robots will embody all of the details collectors have come to expect from the toy line. The giant-size figure measures over 26″ tall, with an 18″ Sentinel tentacle, light-up LEDs in its head and chest, and a standard six inch figure of Bastion (with alternate Sentinel Prime head).

The price of the figure is also Sentinel-sized, coming in at a whopping $349.00. Even with a price tag that would make Cyclops’ ruby-quartz glasses crack, the Sentinel campaign is off to a great start with over 5,8000 backers so far, already less than 200 away from the production goal. If you sign up for one of these behemoths, you will also earn a Marvel Insider Points Redemption code (70,000 points per purchase, limit 2 code redemptions per account) & a digital copy of X-Men #14 (1963).

The crowdfunded project just started and will run until August 24th, 2020. If the 6,000 backers goal is met (all but an afterthought at this point), the project will begin shipping around Fall 2021.
