DC Vertigo returns in 2026 with a vengeance, with the debut of nine new DC Vertigo branded comic book series, and James Tynion IV, Álvaro Martínez Bueno, and Jordie Bellaire’s The Nice House by the Sea second story arc, starting in issue #7.
DC starts the new Vertigo rollout this February with three new series and the aforementioned The Nice House by the Sea #7, including first issues of Bleeding Hearts, End of Life, and The Peril of the Brutal Dark: An Ezra Cain Mystery.
James Tynion IV, Álvaro Martínez Bueno, and Jordie Bellaire’s The Nice House by the Sea #7 is up first on February 4 with the classic Vertigo label.
Deniz Camp and Stipan Morian zombie story Bleeding Hearts #1 is up next on February 11, featuring an entire zombie society with their own culture and language that exists outside of the human world, until that world takes notice.
Kyle Starks and Steve Pugh End of Life #1 follows on February 18, stars a professional hitman named Eddie Stallion who makes the mistake of robbing the boss of the international cabal of assassins the Menagerie, forcing him to flee a small midwestern town where he confronts his complicated past and family.
Chris Condon and Jacob Phillips end the month with The Peril of the Brutal Dark: An Ezra Cain Mystery #1 on February 25. The That Texas Blood team turn their attention to a 1940s private investigator/former archeologist Ezra Cain who gets on the trail of an ancient anvil that supposedly is imbued with the power of the Greek god Hephaestus. The only problem is that many nefarious people also have a vested interest in the artifact.
