‘Doctor Strange’ Three-Peats at Weekend Box Office

The Doctor is in for a third weekend box office win to the tune of $31 million.

Multiverse of Madness racked up ticket sales across the globe once again this weekend, and now stands at $342 million state-side and a magical $803 million worldwide.

While this should be the last weekend that Strange rules the box office roost (as Top Gun: Maverick opens this coming weekend), the latest MCU film should be able to add to its total over the next few weeks, and has an outside chance of crossing the $400 million mark domestically.

A24’s Men from director Alex Garland earned an estimated $3.3 million and continued the A24 trend of pleasing critics and angering ticket buyers (when are these people going to learn?) with a 75% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes along with a 45% audience score and an abysmal D+ Cinemascore.

In better news for A24 title,  Everything Everywhere All at Once grossed $3.2 million and became the top-grossing film of all time for the indie distributor (passing  Uncut Gems $50 million finish).

Check back next week to see how the fly boys from Top Gun fare at the box office.
