Fans of the darker side of the DC Universe are in luck today as the company has announced not one, but two Halloween themed forays into superhero terror!
First up is Legend of the Swamp Thing Halloween Spectacular #1 on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 featuring 48 pages and six all-new stories. The green earth elemental will journey from ancient Rome to present day in this collection with stories written by Tom King (returning to the character after the critically acclaimed Swamp Thing: Roots of Terror and Swamp Thing Winter Special), James Tynion IV (Batman), Vita Ayala, Phillip Kennedy Johnson (The Last God) and Ram V (Catwoman, Justice League Dark) with spooktacular artwork from Domo Stanton (House of Whispers), Mike Perkins (Lois Lane), Emma Rios and Christian Ward.
DC: The Doomed and the Damned #1 continues the fright the following week on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, and stories include Batman encountering a urban legend and two odd-couple team-ups between Madame Xanadu and Man-Bat and Green Lantern and the Demon, Etrigan, among others.
This prestige format one-shot features writers Carmen Maria Machado (The Low, Low Woods), Marv Wolfman, Ken Porter, John Arcudi, Saladin Ahmed, Alyssa Wong, Travis Moore and artists Riley Rossmo (Martian Manhunter, Constantine: the Hellblazer), Mike Perkins, Leonardo Manco, Travis Moore, Tom Mandrake and others.
