DC Finest Presents ‘The Gorilla World’ and Other Silver Age Sci-Fi Tales in New Collection

DC Finest’s first science fiction anthology collection features many never before collected Silver Age sci-fi stories, and yes, some of them include apes.

DC Finest: The Gorilla World collects stories from Action Comics #183-196, Strange Adventures #35-48, and Mystery in Space #16-22 by Jack Miller, John Broome, Gardner Fox, Jack Schiff, Sid Gerson, Ed Smalle, Jim Mooney, Murphy Anderson, Gil Kane, and Carmine Infantino.

And just to be completely transparent with all of you gorilla fans (and who isn’t), while the cover features a story that any sci-fi and gorilla fan must read, most of the collection stars the obscure space jockeys Tommy Tomorrow and Captain Comet (who sometimes encounter simian friends and foes, but mainly contend with all manner of aliens, robots, and monsters).

The futuristic tales are a perfect examples of Silver Age storytelling and also offer 1950’s imaginings about the future and space exploration that are a lot of fun to read.

DC Finest: Science Fiction: The Gorilla World consists of 624 pages for a suggested retail price of $39.99.
