First DC Finest Superboy Collection Features Debut of Krypto, the Super Dog

The Boy of Steel gets his own DC Finest volume and a new dog in Superboy: The Super Dog from Krypton.

The new volume contains stories published in 1954 and 1955 from Adventure Comics #199-216 and Superboy #33-43 by Otto Binder, Jack Schiff, Bill Finger, Jerry Coleman, William Woolfolk, John Sikela, Curt Swan, Ray Burnley, Win Mortimer, Rube Grossman, Sy Barry, and George Klein.

The small town life of Superboy is examined from a number of angels, ranging from Archie Comics-style teen humor to capers involving subterranean cities, super brats, robot doubles Chandu (a giant gorilla with x-ray vision), Superboy’s Kryptonian “parents”, and Bongo the chimp.

DC Finest: Superboy: The Super Dog from Krypton Softcover consists of 600 pages for a suggested retail price of $39.99.
