‘Darkhold: The Saga of the Book of Sins’ Contains Classic Marvel Horror Tales

Don’t let the modern cover fool you; Darkhold: The Saga of the Book of Sins delves into the past for the original Bronze Age tales featuring Marvel’s dark book.

Darkhold: The Saga of the Book of Sins collects the Darkhold’s first appearance in Marvel Spotlight #4, and subsequent appearances in Werewolf by Night #1 and 3, Dracula Lives #6, The Avengers #185-187 (The Scarlet Witch’s first evil turn in “The Yesterday Quest!”), and Doctor Strange #59-62 (“The Montesi Formula” arc featuring the Scarlet Witch, Dracula, Hannibal King, Captain Marvel, Blade, and the Darkholders).

All stories are written by Gerry Conway, Steve Gerber, Mark Gruenwald, Steven Grant, David Michelinie, and Roger Stern, with art by Mike Ploog, Gene Colan, John Byrne, Dan Green, Ernie Chan, Steve Leialoha, Frank Chiaramonte, Terry Austin, and Rick Magyar.

The Darkhold has become a more prominent magical object in the Marvel world (both comics and television/films) as of late, serving as the focus of the recent Darkhold mini-series and appearances in WandaVision and the upcoming Agatha All Along Disney+ series.

Darkhold: The Saga of the Book of Sins consists of 224 pages for a suggested cover price of $29.99.
