Colin Farrell Wins Best Actor Golden Globe for HBO’s ‘The Penguin’ TV Series

The downtrodden Penguin finally got some respect at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards where Colin Farrell took home the top prize in the “Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television” category.

Farrell’s performance in HBO’s The Penguin may have taken home the Golden Globe, but Matt Reeves’ The Batman spin-off was also nominated in the categories of “Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television” for Cristin Milioti’s role of Sofia Falcone and for “Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television”.

In Penguin-related news, The Batman II sequel has been pushed from October 2, 2026 to October 1, 2027, giving anyone who hasn’t watched The Penguin plenty of time to catch up on the series.
