Chip Zdarsky and Mark Bagley will continue their critically acclaimed series Spider-Man: Life Story in the form of a Life Story Annual #1 this August.
Zdarsky is excited to return to the world of Life Story, and stated that “Working on the original Spider-Man: Life Story was a dream come true for me. But the problem with the miniseries was that I didn’t have the room to properly tell the life story of one of my all-time favorite characters: J. Jonah Jameson. Getting the chance to revisit this universe with Mark again has been an absolute blast!”
Spider-Man: Life Story Annual #1 continues the series’ format, telling the story of Spider-Man through a historical perspective as if the character had aged in real time since his 1962 debut.
Marvel will apply the same approach to the First Family of Marvel Comics, The Fantastic Four, this May with Fantastic Four Life Story by Mark Russel and Sean Izaakse.
And just in case you missed the boat on Spider-Man: Life Story, the entire series will be collected as a hardcover special edition later this year.
Spider-Man: Life Story Annual #1 goes on sale at finer comic shops everywhere on August 4.
