The first meeting between Captain America and the Black Panther is reprinted once again in a new Captain America/Black Panther: Flags of Our Fathers trade paperback edition.
Written by Reginald Hudlin, with art by Denys Cowan, Tom Palmer, and Klaus Janson, the original four-issue mini-series from 2010 delves in to the full story of their first meeting during World War II. Steve Rogers and King Azzuri of Wakanda (not T’Challa) take on a host of Nazi villains such as Master Man, Warrior Woman, Baron Von Strucker and the Red Skull.
The two legendary heroes are aided by compatriots Nick Fury and his Howling Commandos, as they wage war against the super-powered Nazi platoon.
The collection also includes 2018’s Rise of the Black Panther one-shot (by Evan Narcisse and Paul Renaud) which further explains the history of the character and Wakanda.
The Captain America/Black Panther: Flags of Our Fathers trade paperback consists of 120 pages for a suggested retail price of $17.99.
