Mike Mignola, Chris Roberson, Mike Norton, and Dave Stewart uncover the B.P.R.D.: Declassified files in an all-new five-issue Dark Horse Comics series starring agents Susan Xiang and Victor Koestler.
B.P.R.D.: Declassified #1 begins when agents Xiang and Koestler head to Hawaii on a top-secret mission to locate fellow agent Henry Rouch, who was working on a classified government project before he vanished.
“We’ve been teasing around the edges of a larger story involving an occult cold war in the pages of Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. and elsewhere for a while now, usually in the background of another supernatural investigation or monster hunt of some kind,” said Chris Roberson. “B.P.R.D.: Declassified is a chance to pull the curtain back a bit and focus our full attention on what’s been going on in the shadows, and to see that the agents of the B.P.R.D. aren’t the only players on the board. The stakes are higher than Susan Xiang and company ever suspected.”
“The best thing about working on a B.P.R.D. story (and Chris’s stories in particular) is that I know there’s going to be something I never even THOUGHT of drawing before,” adds Mike Norton. “And let me tell you, this one does NOT disappoint!”
B.P.R.D. agent Susan Xiang last appeared in a comic series in 2025’s The Shadow of the Golden Crane by Roberson and Michael Avon Oeming.
B.P.R.D.: Declassified #1 will be available at your local comic shop on February 17, 2027.
