Reginald Hudlin’s fan-favorite and critically acclaimed Black Panther run from 2005 is now available in a complete Omnibus edition.
The Black Panther by Reginald Hudlin Omnibus collects Black Panther #1-41, X-Men #175-176, Black Panther Annual #1, Black Panther #1-6, Captain America/Black Panther: Flags of Our Fathers #1-4, Black Panther Saga, and a story by Hudlin from a later Black Panther Annual #1.
Along with Hudlin, the Omnibus contains stories by Peter Milligan, Jason Aaron, John Rhett Thomas, Jess Harold, and George Khoury, with art by John Romita Jr., Klaus Janson, Trevor Hairsine, John Dell, Salvador Larroca, Danny Miki, Allen Martinez, David Yardin, Jay Leisten, Scot Eaton, Kaare Andrews, Andrew Hennessy, Manuel Garcia, Mark Morales, Sandu Florea, Sean Parsons, Koi Turnbull, Jeff De Los Santos, Sal Regla, Francis Portela, Victor Olazaba, Andrea DiVito, Cafu, Larry Stroman, Ken Lashley, Roland Paris, Carlos Cuevas, Jon Sibal, Carlos Rodriguez, Kevin Sharpe, Jefte Palo, Paul Neary, Denys Cowan, Tom Palmer, Sandu Florea, and Brian O’Dell.
Hudlin begins by returning to the past by presenting T’Challa and Wakanda’s origins and introducing Princess Shuri (the future wearer of the Panther cowl) into the world of Wakanda and Marvel. Highlights include T’Challa’s marriage to Storm, a trip to Latveria to face Doctor Doom, a battle with Namor in Atlantis, and crossovers with line-wide events such as Secret Invasion and Civil War.
