Black Eye Books Launches Fundrazr Campaign for Jay Stephens’ ‘Dwellings’ No. 3

Harvey and Eisner-Award nominated cartoonist Jay Stephens will continue his popular Dwellings comic book series this April, and fans can back the project now in a new Fundrazr campaign. Published by Black Eye Books, this next issue in the ongoing horror series will tell the tale of a brand new character in a complete story across 36 pages.

Featuring a “disarmingly cute vintage comic style,” Dwellings is intended for mature readers only. The synopsis for No. 3 gives readers a hint at what kinds of horrors await them in the next issue:

“When her grandmother mysteriously vanishes from a long term care home, and the staff deny she ever existed, Charlie Ouilette’s only clue to discovering the truth is her grandmother’s toy handpuppet, Suki. But when Suki starts talking … leading Charlie deeper into the nearby woods… she begins to wish she’d never put her hand inside!”

Stephens created a new video on YouTube which reveals some of his inspirations for the Dwellings series and gives an overview on the story of No. 3.

The Fundrazr campaign for Dwellings No. 3 has already unlocked a variety of neat stretch goals. The most recent unlock includes a postcard featuring an alternate cover inspired by the E.C. Comics covers of yesteryear.

Fans can back the project today on its official Fundrazr campaign website. The campaign ends on March 18th, 2022.
