1989’s Batman: Year Three is now available in a new hardcover Deluxe Edition.
The retelling of Dick Grayson’s origins and a follow-up to “Death in the Family” collects Batman #436-439 by Marv Wolfman, Pat Broderick, John Beatty, and Michael Bair.
The story begins with Batman mourning the death of Jason Todd which causes him to reunite with Nightwing after the news of the release of Grayson’s parents murderer from prison.
The original Batman and Robin try to solve mysteries from the past made present, while also looking back at the story of Dick Grayson’s adoption and his becoming Robin.
The Year Three Deluxe Edition also contains a new introduction by the story’s associate editor Dan Rapler, as well as a new afterword by Broderick.
The hardcover edition consists of 112 pages for a suggested retail price of $19.99.
