Batman is one of the most recognizable characters in the history of pop culture, and this September, the world will share their visions of DC Comics Dark Knight Detective.
The new 184 page hardcover anthology, Batman: The World, features Batman stories by creative teams from across the globe, and each story will also take place in the creative team’s home country.
The anthology will collect stories by creative teams from North America, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, Russia, Poland, Turkey, Mexico, Brazil, China, Korea, and Japan.
Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo provide the framing story for Batman: The World entitled “Global City,” as Batman decides to take up his war on crime and injustice outside of the borders of Gotham.
The stories take place across Batman’s past and present, including:

Each international edition of Batman: The World will also feature its own unique cover art by the local creative team.
Batman: The World launches “worldwide” on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.
