The Avengers West Coast team of Hawkeye, Iron Man, Wonder Man, Tigra, and Mockingbird (with late additions Hank Pym and Moon Knight) are Lost in Space Time in the rereleased Epic Collection.
The Avengers West Coast: Lost in Space Time Epic Collection contains The Avengers West Coast #8-24, Avengers West Coast Annual #1, and The Avengers Annual #15 (originally published in 1986 and 1987).
The main event in the collection sees the West Coast Avengers take a page from the original team and head back to the past and team up with the Two-Gun Kid, the Rawhide Kid, the original Ghost Rider, and Firebird for the seven part storyline which gives this volume its name. The West Coast team’s adventures even land them in ancient Egypt, where they encounter Rama-Tut and the Fantastic Four, Doctor Strange, and Moon Knight.
Other highlights include a three part Firebird/Thing story involving the obscure Texas superhero team called the Rangers, Master Pandemonium, Headlok, and the Griffin, and an Avengers crossover in each team’s respective Annual from 1986 titled “Betrayal!” that sees both groups locked up in the Vault and put on trial by that pesky Avengers nemesis Henry Gyrich.
The vast majority of the stories in the collection are by the team of Steve Englehart, Al Milgrom, and Joe Sinnott, with some additional help from Danny Fingeroth, Mark Bright, Kim DeMulder, Romeo Tanghal, Mike Machlan, Geof Isherwood, Steve Ditko, and Klaus Janson.
The Avengers West Coast: Lost in Space Time Epic Collection consists of 488 pages for a suggested retail price of $44.99.
