‘Avengers Vol. 3’ Omnibus Collects More of Original Roy Thomas Run

The Avengers Omnibus series continues with Vol. 3, collecting more of the classic Roy Thomas run.

The Avengers Omnibus Vol. 3 includes The Avengers #59-88, The Incredible Hulk #140, Marvel Super Heroes #17, and Avengers material from Not Brand Echh #12.

In addition to Thomas (who also writes an introduction for the collection), the Omnibus contains one Harlan Ellison Avengers/Hulk story and beautiful art by John Buscema, Gene Colan, Barry Windsor-Smith, Sal Buscema, Frank Giacoia, Herb Trimpe, Howard Purcell, George Klein, Mike Esposito, Sam Grainger, Syd Shores, Tom Palmer, Frank Giacoia, Jim Mooney, and Dan Adkins. Significant Avengers moments such as the wedding of the Wasp and Yellowjacket, Hawkeye’s transformation into Goliath, the return of a more powerful Ultron and encounters with other villains such as Kang, the Grandmaster, the Squadron Sinister (and Supreme), and Arkon, the return of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, the origins of the Black Panther, and the debut of the Lady Liberators and Red Wolf.

The original version of the same Omnibus was released in 2016.

Marvel recently released an Avengers Epic Collection entitled This Beachhead Earth that collects much of the same material.

The Avengers Omnibus Vol. 3 contains 760 pages for a suggested retail price of $100.00.

The Omnibus is available with an Alan Davis cover and a John Buscema variant cover.
