‘The Korvac Saga’ Headlines New ‘Avengers: The Yesterday Quest’ Epic Collection

Some of writers Jim Shooter and David Michelinie and artists George Perez and John Byrne’s best Avengers stories are profiled in the new Avengers: The Yesterday Quest Epic Collection.

The new collection covers all of the Avengers action from 1978-1979 in The Avengers#167-188, The Avengers Annual #8-9, and ancillary material from the Avengers: The Korvac Saga graphic novel.

The aforementioned “Korvac Saga” is the centerpiece of the collection, and one of the most collected Avengers tales of all time involving a mad man wishing to become God(and co-starring the original Guardians of the Galaxy).

The title storyline, “The Yesterday Quest”, focuses on the Scarlet Witch in crisis after her first encounter with the Darkhold.

Other contribting writers and artists in the collection include Marv Wolfman, Bill Mantlo, Tom DeFalco, Mark Gruenwald, Steven Grant, Steve Gerber, Roger Slifer, Sal Buscema, Dave Wenzel, Carmine Infantino, Jim Mooney, Don Newton, Pablo Marcos, Dave Hun, Gene Day, Klaus Janson, Ricardo Villamonte, Rudy Nebres, Al Gordon, Mike Esposito, Dan Green, Frank Springer, Jack Abel, and Joe Rubinstein.

The Avengers: The Yesterday Quest Epic Collection consists of 496 pages for a suggested retail price of $44.99.
