The legacy of Tony Stark will be revealed on Disney Plus in two new series focusing on the those inspired by the original Iron Man. The news (like all the rest being reported today) was announced by Kevin Feige at The Walt Disney Company’s 2020 Investor Day.
In Armor Wars, Don Cheadle returns as James Rhodes/War Machine to locate all of the missing Stark tech. The new series takes its inspiration from a number of Marvel Comics series, starting in 1987’s Iron Man #225 (by David Michelinie and Bob Layton), and followed by a number of sequels featuring battles with other armored foes such as Crimson Dynamo, Titanium Man, and even Doctor Doom.
Marvel Studios’ Ironheart stars Dominique Thorne as a teen genius inventor Riri Williams, who is inspired by Tony Stark’s work who attempts to right wrong and innovate new technologies in the tradition of the Golden Avenger.
No start dates have been announced for either series as of yet (as Marvel Studios/Disney have a lot on their plate at the moment), but be sure to keep checking back with Conskipper for more news and updates.
