Angela Bassett took home the best supporting actress award at the 80th Annual Golden Globe Awards for her performance as Queen Ramonda in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
In her acceptance speech, the Wakandan Queen stated that the start of production was not easy, as “We embarked on this journey together with love. We mourned, we loved, we healed. And we will be surrounding each and every day by the light in the spirit of Chadwick Boseman.”
Bassett ended her acceptance speech by thanking fans around the world “..for embracing these characters and showing us so much love. We just made history with this nomination and with this award. It belongs to all of you, all of us.”
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is still in theaters and will be coming to disney+ on February 1 (and you can read our review of the film right here).
