Al Ewing and Juan Frigeri Usher in Marvel’s New Space Age in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ #13

Space adventures have been a fabric of the Marvel Universe ever since four astronauts were bombarded by cosmic rays aboard an experimental rocketsship. Since the birth of the Marvel Comics, the world beyond earth has continually expanded, and Al Ewing and Juan Frigeri are about to continue this journey into the mysteries of space.

Guardians of the Galaxy #13 (actually issue #175 is you are paying attention to legacy numbering) will introduce the Guardians new lineup and mission. The newly deputized team will consist of Nova, Starlord, Gamora, Groot, Rocket, and fresh off their stint in Marvel’s Empyre series, Wiccan and Emperor Hulkling. Other mystery members will soon be revealed as part of the line-up soon.

Ewing promises that the intergalactic team is “…going to be stepping up a gear in 2021, with villains the team have never faced, guest stars you never thought you’d see, and a new teammate you can’t even begin to believe—all coming together for a crisis that’ll shake every planet in the Marvel universe down to the bedrock…maybe even a backwater planet like Earth.”
