‘X-Factor By Peter David’ Omnibus Vol. 1 Coming in August

Peter David’s twelve year run on The Incredible Hulk is still one of the longest runs in history by any one writer, and it firmly established him as one of the top creators throughout the 1980’s and 90’s.

David’s second most prolific stint of this era was on Marvel’s X-Factor, where he delivered humor, excitement, and pathos every month, essentially elevating former C-List characters like The Multiple Man, Polaris, and Strong Guy to A-List status.

For those who missed, or want to relive, David’s first X-Factor run (he later returned to the title for a second tour of duty in 2006 which lasted all the way to the end of 2013), his initial stories will be collected in the X-Factor by Peter David Omnibus Volume 1 this August.

The collections includes: X-Factor #55 and #70-92, X-Factor Annual #5-8, New Mutants Annual #6, and the Hulk/X-Factor cross-over in The Incredible Hulk #390-392. The collection features artwork by Larry Stroman, Al Milgrom, Jae Lee, Joe Quesada, and Dale Keown among others,

The “all-new, all different” team consisted of Havok, Polaris, Quicksilver, Multiple Man, Wolfsbane and Strong Guy, and the new group had their hands full with battles with Mister Sinister and his Nasty Boys, the Mutant Liberation Front, the Incredible Hulk, the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and even X-Force. The collection also includes the famous psychiatric session issue with Doc Leonard Samson getting all the members of the group “on the couch” (individually, of course) for some much needed therapy.

Look for X-Factor by Peter David Omnibus Volume 1 in stores on August 11, 2021.
