‘Wolverine To the Bone’ Epic Collection Contains Rarities from Early 90s

The Wolverine: To the Bone Epic Collection not only contains a continuation of Logan’s original solo series by Larry Hama, but also some rare one-shots from the early 1990s.

All the material in To the Bone was originally published in 1993 and 1994, and starts with Wolverine #76-86 (and “The Phalanx Sanction” crossover in Cable #16) and continues with three specials including: Wolverine: Evilution by Ann Nocenti, Mark Texeira, John Royle, Philip Moy and Andrew Pepoy, Wolverine and Nick Fury: Scorpio Rising by Howard Chaykin and Shawn McManus, and the pure 90’s magic of Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: The Dark Design by Howard Mackie, Ron Garney, and Al Milgrom.

Additional art in the Wolverine issues is provided by Adam Kubert, Tomm Coker, Ian Churchill, John Nadeau, Ron Wagner, Yancey Labat, Mark Farmer, Bob McLeod, Bud La Rosa, Keith Champagne, Mark Pennington, Bill Reinhold, Younger, Tom Palmer, Matt “Batt” Banning, Joe Rubinstein, Al Vey, Joe Kubert. Steve Skroce, and Mike Sellers.

For those who don’t remember the Wolverine of this era, Wolvie has just been stripped of his adamantium and, like the title indicates, is now down “to the bone.” Many of the stories take place in the “Great White North” and include encounters with Lady Deathstrike, Bloodscream, Cylla and Cyber, and friendlier visits with Alpha Flight and Excalibur.

The Wolverine: To the Bone Epic Collection consists of 480 pages for a suggested retail price of $44.99.
