Wizard World Comic Conventions Joins FAN EXPO Family

Much like a superhero crossover event series, two major comic convention groups are joining forces to bring more events to fans! Wizard World Philadelphia and its sister shows in New Orleans, Portland, Cleveland, St. Louis, and Chicago will be joining the FAN EXPO brand, which is best known for shows such as MEGACON Orlando, FAN EXPO Canada, FAN EXPO Dallas, and FAN EXPO Denver.

In a press release, Wizard World announced that their shows, “will be re-branded, revitalized, and revolutionized.” This means that Wizard World Philadelphia will now be known as FAN EXPO Philadelphia in 2022. Despite the name change, the group says no prior commitments will change: “FAN EXPO HQ will be collaborating with us on a smooth transition and will honor all prior commitments with fans, exhibitors, and artisans. We will continue to operate the Wizard World Vault and will be participating at all FAN EXPO events.”

FAN EXPO is the largest producer of comic conventions in the world, and their acquisition of Wizard World only increases their bargaining influence in bringing in major guests to meet fans. Stay tuned to Conskipper for complete coverage of this exciting story as soon as it develops!
