WarnerMedia Announces a Plethora of ‘The Batman’ Film Tie-ins and Merchandise

Batman always sells, and the brands that are partnering with WarnerMedia for Matt Reeve’s upcoming The Batman film hope that it extends to traditional and non-traditional Batman toys, accessories, and luxury items.

In terms of the traditional offerings, McFarlane Toys will produce a set of highly-articulated actions figures based on The Batman, The Riddler and Catwoman ($19.99 each), a Batcycle, ($29.99), and a statue based on Robert Pattinson’s version of the Bat. Additional figures and statues will be announced later this year.

The obligatory Funko Pops will also be a part of The Batman roll-out, with exclusive items available at Target, Walmart, Hot Topic, and Pop in a Box based on Batman, Selina Kyle, The Riddler, The Penguin ($12.00 each), and a few Funko vehicles such as the Batmobile and Catwoman’s motorcycle.

If you’re looking for items for the kids (who may be terrified of this new version of Batman), Spin Master will offer new Batman, Catwoman, and The Penguin 4-inch and 12-inch action figures ($8.99-$10.49) and an authentic movie-style Batmobile 4-Inch Scale vehicle ($32.99), which comes with a new Batman figure and is equipped with sounds, LED engine lights, headlights, and even an “undercarriage residual glow”.

LEGO and Hot Wheels are also ready to serve the younger fans with three new LEGO building sets called Batcave: The Riddler Face-off ($79.99 USD), Batmobile: The Penguin Chase ($29.99 USD), and the Batman and Selina Kyle Motorcycle. Each set will also feature mini-figures based on Batman, Selina Kyle, Alfred, Lieutenant Gordon, The Riddler and The Penguin in their applicable sets. Hot Wheels rolls out a deluxe radio controlled Batmobile replete with authentic details. This 1:10 scale Ultimate edition features LED lights, smoke and flame FX from both the hood and the rear, a detailed exterior and interior, a Batcave-inspired plinth, and a poseable Batman figure behind the wheel.

For those looking for some untraditional, high-end items, Fossil will release The Batman x Fossil capsule collection on February 28, including collectible watches, jewelry and leather goods, Kross Studio’s The Batman Tourbillon pocket watch, House of Sillage’s fragrance (Batmusk anyone?), lipstick, and candle, Emilie Heathe’s limited-edition nail polish shades (“The Dark Night,” “Vengeance,” and “Madness”) and a “Knight Out” nail accessory set, including a nail decal set, Batman-embellished crystal nail file and beauty clips.

And just in case you feel that the new film looks too grimy to you, you can always use a bar of Dr. Squatch’s soap in either “The Batman Bricc™” with a leathery, musky scent (see, I wasn’t kidding about the batmusk) or “The Riddler Enigma™” with aromas that are described as “mysterious yet intriguing” (which come as a two-bar bundle for $20 on Dr. Squatch’s website).
