Venom co-creator David Michelinie (and artist Gerardo Sandoval) returns to the rough-around-the-edges symbiote in the new retro series trade paperback collection titled Separation Anxiety.
Not to be confused with 1994’s Venom: Separation Anxiety mini-series by Howard Mackie, Ron Randall, and Sam de la Rosa, the five-issue series from 2024 reveals an untold tale from the early days of the character. Eddie Brock/Venom starts to show some of his heroic nature in the series when the Purple Man escapes from the Vault and he tries to put the devious villain out of commission before he can turn the city upside down with his elevated powers of suggestion.
The Venom: Separation Anxiety (subtitled “The King in Purple”) trade paperback consists of 128 pages for a suggested retail price of $17.99.
