Has it really been fifteen years since the Autobots and Decepticons migrated over from the toy shelves, tv screens, and comic books of the 1980’s to the silver screen?
Indeed it is true, and like it or not, Michael Bay’s rolling metal, cgi-crash fest is back in theaters for the first time since 2007 on July 10 and 14, courtesy of Fathom Events.
Executive produced by Steven Spielberg, the film starred Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, and humans such as Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox.
The original Transformers live-action film was the best reviewed film in the franchise with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 58% (not including the recent Bumblebee reboot). Out of the six films in the series, Transformers ranks 4th with $709.7 million worldwide.
