The Scarlet Witch returns in January in a brand-new ongoing solo series by Steve Orlando and Sara Pichelli.
Following the events of the X-Men: Trial of Magneto mini-series, Wanda Maximoff returns in a new form, ready to defend human and mutantkind from all manner of threats.
The premise of the new series has Wanda “setting up shop” in a witchcraft emporium, where those in need of the Scarlet Witch’s special talents can seek her out. Issue one begins with a distressed woman pleading with the Scarlet Witch to help her save a town in the grips of madness.
Orlando says that the Scarlet Witch is one of his favorite characters, and ever “Since I first stepped into the House of Ideas, the Scarlet Witch has been with me—in fact, she was the star of my first Marvel work ever, kicking ass, weaving spells, and humbling Doom in Darkhold! So, there was no way I could pass up the chance to work on Scarlet Witch.”
Scarlet Witch #1 will be in stores on January 4.
