Brian Michael Bendis’ New Avengers run continues in the new Secret Invasion Modern Era Epic Collection.
The Epic Collection consists of The New Avengers #38-54 and the Secret Invasion: Dark Reign one-shot.
Bendis is joined by a plethora of artists in the collection including Michael Gaydos, David Mack, Jim Cheung, John Dell, Jay Leisten, Billy Tan, Danny Miki, Matt Banning (BATT), Alex Maleev, Bryan Hitch, Rain Beredo, David Aja, Dave Stewart, David Lopez, Alvaro Lopez, Steve McNiven, Dexter Vines, Morry Hollowell, Leinil Francis Yu, Mark Morales, Dave McCraig, Steve Epting, Greg Horn, Chris Bachalo, and Tim Townsend.
The New Avengers were ground zero for all of the major, line-wide crossovers of the era, with Secret Invasion and Dark Reign being two of the biggest.
Highlights include the Avengers being trapped in the Savage Land, more drama between Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, the emergence of Echo as a major character, and the aftermath of the Skrull Invasion which leads to Norman Osborn’s new role as director of S.H.I.E.L.D. in Dark Reign.
The Modern Era Epic Collection consists of 480 pages for a suggested retail price of $54.99.
