Move over Bats! The chimp is on the case!
DC Comics simian detective by the name of Bobo T. Chimpanzee gets his very own hardcover collection this October, chronicling his earliest Golden, Silver, and Bronze Age appearances.
The Detective Chimp Casebook collects his first back-up appearances in The Adventures of Rex the Wonder Dog #4 and #6-46, and stories from Amazing World of DC Comics #1, DC Comics Presents #35, DC Special #1, and Tarzan #231 and #234-235.
The collection also includes his entry from 1985’s Who’s Who The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe #6, which reminded readers of Mr. Chimpanzee’s storied past.
The Casebook includes work by Gil Kane, Carmine Infantino, Mike Tiefenbacher, John Broome, Robert Kanigher, Frank Giacoia, Alex Kotzky, Sy Barry, Irwin Hasen, Bernard Sachs., Joe Giella, and Bill Wray.
The Detective Chimp Casebook consists of 280 pages for a suggested retail price of $29.99. The Casebook will be available at your local comic shop on October 25.
