Get ready for 48 hours worth of classic horror films on TCM’s annual Halloween Marathon, comprised of a total of 32 films over the Halloween weekend.
The spooky festivities start on Friday night at 8:00 pm ET with Vincent price starring as The Abominable Dr. Phibes, followed by George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead (1968), and Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978).
From there, the films run the gamut between vintage horror films that no Halloween would be complete without such as Frankenstein, White Zombie, and The Fly (1958), to supernatural horror from the 1970s and 80s such as Hell Night, Exorcist II: The Heretic, to Val Lewton’s restrained, critically acclaimed horror films Cat People (1942) and The Leopard Man.
Other films on the schedule include: Creature from the Haunted Sea, Who’s Superstitious?, Black Cats and Broomsticks , The Curse of Frankenstein, Young Frankenstein, The Devil’s Own, Horror of Dracula, Pit and the Pendulum, The Tomb of Ligeia, Phantom of the Rue Morgue, The Haunting (1963), The Hypnotic Eye, Chamber of Horrors, Spider Baby, Let’s Scare Jessica to Death, Carnival of Souls, Macabre, Mad Love, Curse of the Demon, and Horror Hotel (City of the Dead).
