With a big screen adaptation of The Authority on the way from the new iteration of DC Studios, it seems like the perfect time to venture back to the origins of the team in Warren Ellis’ Stormwatch: The Road to Authority Compendium.
The new Compendium collects StormWatch #37-50, StormWatch Preview, and StormWatch #1-11
which chronicle 1996’s reinvention of StormWatch with the addition on Jenny Sparks, Jack Hawksmoor, Apollo, and Midnighter (and the death of some of the characters who originally starred in the comic a few years earlier).
Ellis is joined by artists Tom Raney, Bryan Hitch, Michael Ryan, Oscar Jimenez, Jim Lee, Pete Woods, Joe Phillips, Randy Elliot, Paul Neary, Luke Rizzo, Richard Bennett, Jason Gorder, Eduardo Alpuente, Saleem Crawford, Richard Friend, Mark McKenna, Chuck Gibson, John Dickenson, Joe Phillips, and Scott Williams.
Stormwatch: The Road to Authority Compendium consists of 680 pages for a suggested cover price of $59.99.
