Even though Spider-Man: No Way Home has already earned $804.8 million domestically and $1.9 billion worldwide, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have announced that a No Way Home extended version will be swinging back into theaters in September.
According to the official Spider-Man: No Way Home Twitter account, Spider-Man: No Way Home: The More Fun Stuff Version will debut in the United States and Canada on September 2.
The re-release also coincides with the 20th anniversary of Sam Raimi’s original Spider-Man film and the wall-crawler’s 60th comic book anniversary in Amazing Fantasy #15. With a weak slate of films from mid-August until late September, the extended edition may end up adding more to the film’s bottom line after all.
No details have been announced yet as far as what the new footage will include (Morbius cameo?), so stay tuned to Conskipper for more updates before September 2.
