She-Hulk’s latest Epic Collection continues the madcap, zany adventures that the character was known for in the ’90s in The Cosmic Squish Principle.
Writer Steve Gerber leads the way through The Sensational She-Hulk #13-30 and a She-Hulk story in Marvel Super Heroes #5. Gerber’s sense of humor and gift for parody (with some assistance from fellow writer Buzz Dixon on some issues) is clearly on display in the storytelling, which is picked up by Simon Furman and Louise Simonson by the end of the collection.
A plethora of artists are also along for the ride with art by Bryan Hitch, Tom Artis, Rik Levins, Aaron Lopresti, Tom Morgan, Mike Clark, Jim Sanders III, John Beatty, Keith Williams, Mark Heike, K. Stan Wilson, and Jay Geldhof.
Gerber also adds one of his original characters into the mix with Howard the Duck joining Jen Walters on a bizarre journey through the Baloney-verse, full of parodies of Marvel and DC characters, and comic storytelling in general.
She-Hulk: The Cosmic Squish Principle Epic Collection consists of 448 pages for a suggested retail price of $39.99.
