Scott Snyder and Tony S. Daniel Bring ‘Nocterra’ to Image Comics in March

Following a wildly successful and profitable Kickstarter campaign, Scott Snyder and Tony S. Daniel have decided to bring their new horror/action comic Nocterra to an ever wider audience courtesy of Image Comics this coming March.

Nocterra marks Snyder’s return to creator owned work, and he described the new title as a mix of “… the horror of my indie series like Wytches and American Vampire with the high-octane stakes of my DC work to bring you something personal, twisted and big, big fun. And I couldn’t ask for a better co-creator on Nocterra than buddy and superstar artist Tony Daniel…So get ready for trucks, monsters and mayhem on an epic scale…”

Daniel is excited to get the chance to work with Snyder on Nocterra, saying “I’ve always wanted to partner with Scott over the years, but the timing was never right, until now. I think we make a super-team who feed off of each other’s enthusiasm and creativity. Nocterra will be a pulse pounding ride for the fans and for us as well!”

In the series, Valentina “Val” Riggs, is a tough eighteen wheeler driver who transports people and products along dark roads, in a world of everlasting night that turns people into creatures of the night.

Colorist Tomeu Morey, letter Deron Bennett, and editor Will Dennis round out the creative team on Nocterra.

Nocterra #1 will be available at your local comic shop on Wednesday, March 3.
