Scooby-Doo Meets the Universal Monsters at Universal Fan Fest Nights in Hollywood

Universal Fan Fest at Universal Studios Hollywood puts Scooby-Doo and the Universal Monsters together for an all out Monster Bash.

The new addition to Universal Fan Fest Nights 2026 brings together the mystery-solving crew and the most famous monsters of all-time for an interactive adventure through the studio backlot.

Beginning on the tram ride to the “Little Europe” set of some of the original films, guests will be greeted by The Phantom Director just as he unleashes the Universal Monsters on the unsuspecting Mystery Inc. team.

“It’s really the perfect mashup of two iconic Intellectual Properties,” says Stephen Siercks, senior director, entertainment production and executive producer of Universal Fan Fest Nights. “You’ve got the nostalgia of ‘Scooby-Doo’ and the legacy of the Universal Monsters, and it’s just such a perfect match between the two of them.”

The games begin when a production assistant (PA) hands each guest a Mystery Manual and sends them off on a free-roaming investigation of the iconic “Little Europe” set, in search of clues, monsters, and Scooby Doo.

“Little Europe is one of the birthplaces of the Universal Monsters,” explains Stephen. “So, there’s a certain level of authenticity that makes this a very special experience for our guests.”

The object of the game is to visit the four Mystery Markers where you help Fred, Velma, Daphne, and Shaggy solve the clues found in the manual, and experience character interactions, physical clues, and playful storytelling.

Other temporary attractions for this year’s Fan Fest Nights include areas dedicated to One Piece, Sailor Moon, Dungeons & Dragons, as well as additions to Super Nintendo World and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Tickets are currently available for the event, which runs on select nights starting on April 23 until May 16.
