The start of Peter David’s nearly twelve year run on The Incredible Hulk is the main subject of The Incredible Hulk: Ground Zero Epic Collection.
David’s run (which started in 1987) commences in The Incredible Hulk #331-346 with art by Todd McFarlane, John Ridgway, Erik Larsen, Kim DeMulder, Fred Fredericks, Pablo Marcos, Jim Sanders III, and Chris Ivy.
David’s stories begin with a “Hulked-out” Rick Jones’ and the return of the original gray-skinned, mean (and intelligent) Hulk. Bruce makes it his goal to destroy the government’s stockpile of gamma bombs and confront his arch nemesis The Leader in the process.
The Hulk also battles X-Factor, Wolverine, Half-Life, Mercy, Man-Bull, and The Leader’s super powered stooges, The Redeemer and Rock in the collection.
Jim Starlin and Bernie Wrightson’s rare The Incredible Hulk and the Thing: The Big Change graphic novel is also included in the collection as an added bonus.
The Incredible Hulk: Ground Zero Epic Collection consists of 464 pages for a suggested retail price of $44.99.
