Original ‘Secret Wars’ Omnibus Back in Print

Marvel’s original “big event” limited series from 1984, Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars, returns to comic shops this January.

The omnibus was last available in 2008, and contains all twelve issues of the original Secret Wars, and supplementary issues such as a forgotten chapter of Thor’s experiences on Battleworld from Thor #383, Titania’s origin story from She-Hulk (2004) #10, and two other possible endings in What If? #4 and 114.

The Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars Omnibus contains work by Jim Shooter, Mike Zeck, Bob Layton, and John Beatty on the title story (with Layton filling in for Zeck as the penciller on issues #4 and 5), and Tom Defalco, Dan Slott, Danny Fingeroth, Jay Faerber, Ron Frenz, Paul Pelletier, Mark Bagley, Gregg Schigiel on the supplementary material.

The 496 page volume come with a suggested retail price of $75.00 and two covers to choose from by Zeck and a recreation comic shop variant by Alex Ross.

The new edition of Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars Omnibus will be in stores on January 11.
