Penguin’s next volumes in the Penguin Classics Marvel Collection will include entries on The Avengers, The Fantastic Four, and The Uncanny X-Men.
Similar to the first three releases on Spider-Man, Captain America, and Black Panther, the three new volumes will be available in both paperback and hardcover editions and will include new essays and scholarly commentary by series editor Ben Saunders (with José Alaniz providing the foreword for The Avengers book).
The essays are provided by Leigh Bardugo for The Avengers, Jerry Craft for Fantastic Four, and Rainbow Rowell for X-Men.
Penguin Classics Marvel Collection: The Avengers includes issues #1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 16, 26, 28, 44, 57, 58, 71, 74, and 83.
Penguin Classics Marvel Collection: X-Men includes issues #1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 14, 15, 16, 38, 41, 42, 44, 45, and 46
Penguin Classics Marvel Collection: Fantastic Four includes issues #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 48, 49, 50, 51, and Fantastic Four Annual #6.
Look for the new editions at your favorite comic book shop or bookstore on September 12. The Paperback editions retail for $28.00, while the hardcover editions are $50.00.
