Mystique rises “From the Ashes” in Declan Shalvey’s five-issue mini-series this October.
Following the fall of Krakoa, Mystique goes back to her bread and butter espionage tactics, infiltrating all corner of the Marvel Universe, and piquing the interest of super spy Nick Fury.
Mystique also debuts a new costume for the new era in the series.
Shalvey said “As a rabid X-fan since childhood, I’m having a blast channeling all my X-enthusiasm into writing and drawing this project. In this series, Mystique is reeling from the fall of Krakoa. She’s a rogue element with no accountability putting a mysterious plan into action, ruthlessly destroying anything and anyone in her way.”
The first issue of the new Mystique series will be in store on October 16.
