‘Marvel Fanfare’ Omnibus Vol. 2 Continues Marvel’s 1980s Creator Showcase

The second Omnibus volume of Marvel Fanfare continues the legacy of Marvel’s creator-driven anthology series from the 1980s.

Vol. 2 collects Marvel Fanfare #20-40, originally published between 1985 and 1988.

All stories are written by Jim Starlin, Roger McKenzie, Doug Moench, Chris Claremont, Bill Mantlo, Marc Hempel, John Byrne, Norm Breyfogle, Ann Nocenti, J.M. DeMatteis, Kerry Gammill, Mark Wheatley, Roger McKenzie, Alan Zelenetz, Mark Borax, Jo Duffy, and Ann Nocenti.

Art is provided by Starlin, Byrne, Breyfogle, Ken Steacy, Mike Ploog, David Ross, Pat Broderick, June Brigman, Marc Hempel, Brent Anderson, Kerry Gammill, Mark Wheatley, Roger McKenzie, Charles Vess, Judith Hunt, Colleen Doran, Joe Staton, David Mazzucchelli, Craig Hamilton, Al Milgrom, Craig Russell, Bob Wiacek, Brett Breeding, Terry Austin, Ian Akin, Brian Garvey, Tony Salmons, Al Williamson, Dennis Janke, Bill Sienkiewicz, Kim De Mulder, and Rick Bryant.

Many of the stories in Vol. 2 are multi-part adventures such as the two-part Hulk, Thing, and Doctor Strange battle against Xandu, the four-part Warriors Three story, the four-part Weirdworld saga, the two -part Iron Man vs. Doctor Octopus clash, the two-part Captain America vs. Yellow Claw conflict, and many more stand alone tales featuring Daredevil, Moon Knight, Hawkeye, Hulk, X-Men, and more.

In addition to all of the main stories, the Omnibus also includes all of the back-up stories and pinups from the original issues.

Marvel Fanfare Omnibus Vol. 2 consists of 736 pages for a suggested retail price of $100.00.
