Marvel’s new X-Men Legends series is bringing back two legends, Louise Simonson and Walter Simonson, to write and illustrate an in-continuity X-Factor story in the new anthology.
The Simonson’s story is set in between 1989’s X-Factor #42 and #43 right after defeating Apocalypse, with X-Factor now using (according to Marvel.com) “…his mysterious sentient spaceship Ship as their base of operations. But when Ship begins to malfunction, they’ll realize Apocalypse’s true plans are just beginning to unfold. Don’t miss a rematch decades-in-the-making when the full breadth of this iconic villain’s original motives are finally revealed!”
The new historical-geared series will debut in February with a story by Fabian Nicieza and Brett Booth that will (hopefully)”…finally resolve the famous “third Summers brother” mystery.”
Upcoming arcs will include work from other “X-Royalty” such as Chris Claremont, Larry Hama, Peter David, and more returning to their X-Men roots “…to tie up loose ends, resolve longstanding plot danglers, and uncover long-hidden truths that will shake up the past, present, and future of Marvel’s mutant super heroes.”
Look for X-Men Legends #3 in your local comic shop sometime in April and be sure to come back to Conskipper for more X-Men news.
