Lobo and His Daughter Work on Their Strained Relationship in Mariko Tamaki and Amancay Nahuelpan’s Series ‘Crush & Lobo’

Teenage daughters are never easy to deal with, and neither are indestructible, heavy metal space barbarians!

Mariko Tamaki and artist Amancay Nahuelpan will attempt to navigate the interstellar family fued between Lobo and his daughter Crush in the upcoming eight issue mini-series this June.

According to the official DC press release, the story spins “…out of the pages of Teen Titans Academy” and finds Crush “…in full-on self-destruct mode! After rage-quitting the Teen Titans and blowing up her relationship with her girlfriend Katie, Crush decides it’s time to finally confront her father in space jail and get her baggage sorted before she wrecks everything. Like father, like daughter?”

Crush and Lobo is part of DC Comics Pride celebration this June with the debut of DC Pride, an 80-page one-shot anthology comic featuring LGBTQIA+ characters from all over the DC Universe, and a series of Pride variant covers on many of June’s DC titles by artists such as Kris Anka, Jen Bartel, Stephen Byrne, Paulina Ganucheau, Travis G. Moore, David Talaski, Kevin Wada and Yoshi Yoshitani.
