The Kingpin Gets His ‘Last Rites’ in Daredevil Epic Collection

The four part “Last Rights” storyline takes center stage in the rereleased Daredevil Epic Collection of the same name.

The Daredevil: Last Rights Epic Collection contains Daredevil #283-300 and Part One of “The Von Strucker Gambit” summer crossover with the Punisher and Captain America in Daredevil Annual #7.

The stories from 1990 to 1992 are primarily written by Ann Nocenti (who completes her DD run here) and D. G. Chichester, with art by Mark Bagley, Lee Weeks, Greg Capullo, Kieron Dwyer, Ron Garney, Butch (Jackson) Guice, Don Hudson, Larry Alexander, June Brigman, Al Williamson, Doug Hazlewood, Fred Fredericks, Tom Morgan, and Roy Richardson.

In addition to the fall of the Kingpin in “Last Rites”, the other main arc centers on an amnesiac Matt Murdock (who believes that he is his father “Battlin” Jack Murdock) and a suit swap with Bullseye that leaves everyone in NYC confused about who’s who!

Other menaces that Murdock deals with in this era include The Hand, Hydra, Typhoid Mary, Tombstone, Taskmaster, and Bullet, with guest appearances by the aforementioned Cap and the Punisher, as well as Nick Fury and Ghost Rider.

The Last Rights Epic Collection was originally released in 2020.

The Epic Collection consists of 504 pages for a suggested retail price of $49.99.
